1. If you would like to send Bitcoin to your Bitcoin Card before giving it, scan the public key QR code with the Bitcoin wallet of your choice and send the desired amount of Bitcoin to the associated address.
2. Give this card of crypto just like you would give cash, and it’s ready to use
3. When you would like to use your Bitcoin, or conveniently check it’s price in an app, simply scratch off the private key QR code with a coin or other small, hard object. Make sure you keep the private key hidden from preying eyes – a bad actor with access to your private key has access to your funds.
4. Next, download the free app “CoinSpace Wallet” from the App Store.
5. Once CoinSpace has been downloaded, select the “Create new wallet” option. Next, click generate passphrase.
6. Write down the passphrase that it has generated, preferably on this piece of paper for maximum security. If you would like to save paper, we have provided this same section on the Instructions Card included in your order. Once you have written it down, click on the “I have written down or otherwise securely stored my passphrase” button. Read then agree to the terms and conditions.
7. Now click “Set your PIN”, and choose a PIN that you will remember. If you would like, you can write it below.
8. Do NOT click the “Remove ads” pop up that will greet you on the next screen.
9. Now you are on the home screen. Head over to the far right side where it says “Tokens”, and select “Bitcoin”. It may prompt you for you PIN number again.
10. Now you are on the home screen. Head over to the settings icon in the top left corner of your screen. Once in your settings, there is an option to “Transfer paper wallet/private key”. Click that.
11. A new dialogue box will appear. Click on the QR code symbol on the right side, and it should open your camera app.
12. Scan the left side of your BTC Bitcoin Card, the “PRIVATE KEY”, with the CoinSpace app. Once scanned, select “Transfer”. Once the transfer has been completed, please keep your Bitcoin Card in a secure location, preferably a safe. A bad actor with access to your private key has access to your funds.
13. Click “Send”, and now you are done! Note that a small transaction fee will be incurred. You have now transferred the Bitcoin from the Bitcoin Card onto your phone, where you can conveniently check its price.
14. If you ever wish to send more Bitcoin to your Bitcoin Card, you can scan the “PUBLIC KEY” QR code located on the right side of the bill and copy the public address.
15. The final step is a security check. If you have revealed the private key on your Bitcoin Card and would like to hold onto the bill, you must keep it in a secure location. Furthermore, if you have written down your passphrase and/or PIN number on this page, you must keep it in a secure location.
